Ours is a summer-only program, lasting from June to August. Each teen-aged volunteer is required to attend an orientation program in June. An Awards Luncheon is held at the end of the program. Teen-aged volunteers gain invaluable experience working with others, and many go on to pursue health care careers. To support this, the Auxiliary awards a 1,000 scholarship each year to a graduating senior who has participated in the teen-aged volunteer program.
